Reverse mapping

Update your asset metaproperties with product information

When your assets are linked to your products, it can be great to use this link to update your assets. This will allow you to get more information in Bynder and get more useful filters.

You can add as many reverse mapping as you want.

For each reverse mapping, you will need to configure many information.

To go deeper in the configuration you can see you need an Akeneo Product attribute code. We use this attribute to get the data. It can be a text field, a select field, but also a reference entity collection attribute.

As in Akeneo, the attribute can be localized and/or scopable but in Bynder we have only one metaproperty, you can define which locale and which channel the job must use.

Remember the connector always uses the code for the attributes, the locales and channels. In this example, the locale code is "fr_FR"

When it's an "Select" attribute, you can specify which locale the connector must use to enrich the options in Bynder.

As said previously, the attribute can be a reference entity collection. So to get the text for this attribute, you must specify which attribute from the reference entity you want to send to Bynder.

The option "Multiple values" allows you to send many values for one metaproperty, in the case, for example, an asset is linked to many products.

If you put Yes, all the values will be sent to the asset. If you put No, only one value (the last one) will be sent to the asset.

The last part of the configuration is the metaproperty of Bynder you want to enrich with the Akeneo information.
